The NFL world was taken aback when the Cleveland Browns traded for quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Not only because of his off-field issues but because he needed a new contract.
Then once the details of his contract came out, it had to be a shock to many NFL teams.
The Browns agreed to a fully-guaranteed contract with Watson, which will pay him $230 million over five years.
NFL agent Drew Rosenhaus thinks the Watson deal is excellent for quarterbacks.
On the Pat McAfee Show, he mentioned how all quarterbacks should shoot for that type of deal.

While all agents and quarterbacks are happy with the deal, opposing teams probably hate it.
NFL teams do not want to give away fully-guaranteed contracts.
That could be one reason why Lamar Jackson does not have a deal yet.
He wants something similar to what Watson got, and no team has been willing to pay that price.
It will be interesting to see what kind of deal Jackson and other quarterbacks can land.
Jackson is a former league MVP and he has accomplished much more than Watson in his career.
Also, quarterbacks like Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, and Jalen Hurts will be wanting new contracts soon as well.
The quarterback market is set to pick up soon, and teams better be willing to pay top dollar to keep their guys.
