Fewer professional athletes have made as big of an impact on their city as Drew Brees.
Brees was not only a massive reason for the New Orleans Saints to win a Super Bowl, but he was also an advocate for the city.
He was instrumental in the community after Hurricane Katrina, helping out where he was needed.
Even though he has been retired for a few years, Brees is still very well-connected to the community.
Zion Williamson recently wore a shirt with Brees’ likeness on it in a recent postgame interview, as the New Orleans Pelicans’ official Twitter highlighted.
Brees made sure to let Williamson know he was paying attention, responding with a comment about the “love in the post game press conference.”

Brees also said, “Nice win tonight too!”
This was a fun interaction between a former New Orleans legend and a young player within the community who is still trying to establish his place in the NBA.
Williamson entered the league as one of the most intriguing prospects in recent history.
He was a dominant player at Duke, but because of his injuries and overall health issues, the past few seasons haven’t been the kindest to him.
With any luck, Williamson can get back on track, continuing to grow his game and his legacy as a member of the New Orleans community.
The Pelicans are currently the fifth-best team in the Western Conference, a sign that things are going better for Williamson lately.
If they keep up this pace, the Pelicans could make some noise in the West down the stretch, especially if he stays healthy.
