The Golden State Warriors pulled out an impressive win over the Houston Rockets on Thursday night, beating them 105-98 on the road.
According to Draymond Green, newcomer Jimmy Butler was a massive part of the team’s victory.
Speaking to the press after the game, Green touched upon Butler’s influence on the team and how he has completely changed the way the Warriors see themselves.
He had two words to sum Butler up: “franchise changer.”
“He’s helping revitalize what we’ve got here. The belief amongst this team now that he’s arrived as opposed to what it was before he got here — it’s night and day,” Green said, per Sam Gordon.

Butler posted 19 points, eight rebounds, and four assists during the game against Houston on Thursday.
Importantly, he also committed zero turnovers, which was something he said he wanted to work on.
Since Butler has arrived in Golden State, the Warriors have gone 3-1 and this win over the Rockets was perhaps their most impressive yet.
And during that time, Butler has averaged 21.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 5.3 assists.
For his games with the Miami Heat this year, Butler was putting up 17.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.8 assists.
It is clear that he is much happier with the Warriors, and it sounds like his new teammates love having him on board.
He is posting strong numbers, of course, but Green says it’s about more than that.
Butler has revitalized the team and has made them “night and day” different.
There definitely has been a bit more energy, enthusiasm, and optimism with the Warriors since Butler was traded.
How long will it last, and how much better can they do?
Will the Butler era of the team remain successful until and during the postseason?
