Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors gets a lot of flack for the way he treats other players in the league and members of the media.
But he was nothing but classy on Tuesday.
Speaking during a press conference before Wednesday’s Game 3 of the NBA Finals, Green took a moment to thank and respect a member of the press.
I was lucky enough to be able to ask Draymond Green a question today ahead of Warriors practice…
This was completely unexpected, but appreciate @Money23Green for this 🙏🏽 pic.twitter.com/zKjdUcGBf3

Tomer Azarly asked Green a question about getting ready for the next game but instead of directly answering, the Warriors superstar took a moment to thank Azarly.
Just days before, Green was a part of a small media hubbub when he made some comments about former teammate Kevin Durant.
The press loves to write about in-fighting and sour opinions so Green’s comments on Durant went viral.
However, Azarly made an effort to remind readers that Green was simply responding to a question about Durant – he wasn’t just rambling about the Brooklyn Nets star for no reason.
Green appreciated that Azarly made sure to get that point across and thanked him for his integrity and being a face of “new media.”
It was an honest, thankful, and different side of Green.
Gracious Green
Green is known for his brash attitude and in-your-face personality.
Again and again, he has ruffled the feathers of more than a few NBA fans – and players – because of the way he acts on the floor.
It’s good to see that there’s another side of Green, one that is just as authentic and honest but also thankful and kind.
It’s a good reminder that no matter how wild someone gets on the court, that’s not the entirety of their personality.
However, don’t hold your breath if you’re hoping to see Green be this friendly to Boston players during the rest of the Finals.
