Over the years, Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors has earned a reputation as one of the most hot-headed stars in the NBA, unafraid of getting in someone else’s face and angering just about anyone.
But that’s not what the four-time champion is like 24/7, according to him.
Speaking with Howard Beck, via NBACentral, Green admitted that his over-the-top and confrontational personality is a persona he takes on when he walks into a game.
Green said:
“I know I probably sound crazy talking to you like this, like I got an alter ego or something, but when I’m competing on the court, when I’m doing my job, that’s not the same person you’re going to deal with on a daily basis. … And I’m totally fine with that.”

Again and again throughout his career, Green has gotten into trouble for his on-court antics and the way that he has escalated situations from verbal to physical.
Because of that, he is one of the most controversial figures in the NBA today.
But Green is saying that all of his past actions were part of an alter ego and isn’t the man that friends and family get to experience.
Is that something that Green discovered during his recent suspension?
During that time, the Warriors star received mental health care and did introspection about who he was and why he acted the way he has.
Since returning to the game, Green has been a huge part of the Warriors’ success and has been playing incredibly well.
And despite their massive loss at the hands of the Boston Celtics the other day, Golden State has been looking a lot better lately.
