The Golden State Warriors put the Boston Celtics away on Thursday night, winning the Finals and putting an end to the NBA season in a major, exciting, triumphant way.
This meant that the whole team was nothing but smiles and cheers.
It also meant that neither team would play on Sunday night, which would have been the case if the Celtics tied the series in Game 6.
However, this fact didn’t stop Draymond Green from having a little fun on Sunday.
Getting ready for Game 7 tonight… 🔒in!!! Happy Father’s Day

The controversial Warriors player hopped on Twitter with a fun little joke: “Getting ready for Game 7 tonight…” Green said.
This tweet was a snarky reminder to Celtics fans that the series was over.
Would you expect anything less from Green, even after claiming victory?
Golden Green
Green may have his fourth ring but there is no denying that he had some serious issues during these Finals.
For the series, Green averaged 6.2 points, 8 rebounds, and 6.2 assists.
While those numbers aren’t necessarily awful, they pale in comparison to what fans expected from him.
His career playoff averages are currently 11.8 points, 9 rebounds, and 6.2 assists, which means he was definitely performing worse than usual at this point in the season.
However, he was starting to get things together as the Finals went on.
In the last game of the season, he scored 12 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists – his best numbers of the season.
Still, you would think with the challenges he experienced, Green would stay a bit more humble.
But that’s just not how Green works: this is a guy who is never afraid of upsetting some people, creating controversy, and earning new haters.
In the grand scheme of things, a little joking on Twitter isn’t that bad at all.
