Klay Thompson may play for the Golden State Warriors, but he has strong ties to the Los Angeles Lakers organization.
His father, Mychal, played alongside Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on the Showtime Lakers, and he grew up going to watch them play at Staples Center, now Crypto.com Arena.
That might as well be why Draymond Green believes this series means a lot to him, going on record to praise Thompson for how poised and settled he was in Game 2 and how big his shot-making was.
"There are just some circumstances that may make a game or series mean a little more, and I think this is one of those for Klay"

Thompson was the best offensive player for Steve Kerr’s team on Thursday night, scoring 30 points with eight three-pointers on 61.1% from the floor and 72.7% from beyond the arc.
Then, following the win, Thompson admitted that he’s a diehard Kobe Bryant fan and vowed to give it his best effort when his team visits Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4 to honor his memory.
Klay Thompson has been through a lot over the past three years or so, being questioned and doubted after overcoming two major injuries to be back on the floor.
He admittedly drew inspiration from Kobe when he got hurt, so you better believe he’ll be channeling his inner Black Mamba to try and keep his team’s championship hopes alive.
Thompson can get hot in the blink of an eye, and he’s more than proven that in the playoffs.
