Most NBA players are aware of who is having a great season and who is not.
The NBA MVP conversation is always one of the most talked about topics in the league.
For most of this season, it seemed as if Nikola Jokic was going to win his third straight MVP.
But, one player has surpassed Jokic in odds to win the award.
That is Philadelphia 76ers’ center Joel Embiid.
Embiid has finished second in MVP voting the past two years, but it appears he is ready to break through this season.
The 76ers star is having a career year, and Draymond Green has taken notice.
Green said after playing Embiid on Friday night that he has separated himself in the MVP race.

Embiid is doing things this year that we rarely see from a center.
He is leading the NBA in scoring with 33.4 points per game.
Plus, he is a difference-maker on the defensive end.
The 29-year-old center is shooting a career-high 54.7% from the field.
He is doing that while also taking a career-high 20.3 shots per game.
Also, the 76ers are one of the best teams in the NBA thanks to Embiid.
They currently sit in third place in the Eastern Conference and have championship aspirations.
With the way Embiid has played this year, there is no question the Sixers could make noise in the playoffs.
Embiid has never led his team to the conference finals, but he hopes to end the drought this year.NEXT: The Nets Give An Injury Update On Ben Simmons
