The New York Knicks have emerged as a top team in the Eastern Conference this season.
They showcased their talent in a close win over the Orlando Magic in their recent battle.
Jalen Brunson dominated the game with a 26-point scoring performance, propelling the Knicks to a 98-74 win over the Magic.
However, it was Donte DiVincenzo who etched his name into Knicks history.
DiVincenzo became only the fourth player in franchise history to make more than 200 three-pointers in a single season, as revealed via NBA.com/Stats.
With his third 3PT FG of the night, Donte DiVincenzo becomes the fourth player in Knicks franchise history to reach 200 3PM in a single season, joining:
Evan Fournier – 241 (2021-22)
Julius Randle – 218 (2022-23)
John Starks – 217 (1994-95) pic.twitter.com/TFajVWSLI7— NBA.com/Stats (@nbastats) March 9, 2024
DiVincenzo joined an elite company of Evan Fournier, Julius Randle, and John Starks.
It proves DiVincenzo’s excellent shooting prowess from the three-point line, which has helped the Knicks win games throughout the season.
DiVincenzo had the opportunity to score more than 20 points for a third straight game, but he had a lackluster shooting night.
The 27-year-old guard finished the game with 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists on a forgettable 3-of-13 shooting night, including a 3-of-10 showing from deep.
DiVincenzo may have had an off night, but he remains a crucial member of the Knicks this season.
It’s apparent from his season averages of 14.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game for the team.
Moreover, he is shooting a solid 44.2% from the field and 40.4% from the three-point line.
The Knicks are currently the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 37-26 record this season.
