The Miami Heat have been in the market for another star for quite a while now.
However, it seems like Pat Riley’s magic is wearing off, as they’ve missed on nearly every single player they’ve targeted as of late.
That includes Donovan Mitchell, who was one of their top priorities as soon as he was made available by the Utah Jazz.
Notably, a recent report states that Spida was willing to team up with Bam Adebayo in South Florida but that he had serious concerns about playing side by side with Jimmy Butler.
That’s why Mitchell didn’t hesitate to take to Twitter to call the report out by dismissing that narrative right away.
We live in a world where you can just say anything and it just be true smh🤦🏾♂️ https://t.co/nb1sYKY41U

Mitchell has been quite vocal about nearly every situation in his career, so he could’ve just ignored this report or been honest about it.
Butler has earned a bit of a reputation around the league for being a tough-love kind of leader.
Nonetheless, almost every single one of his former teammates — except Karl-Anthony Towns — has had nothing but praise for him as a teammate and a leader.
Then again, it seems like the Cleveland Cavaliers were the perfect fit for Mitchell all along.
He’s developed some strong rapport on and off the court with Darius Garland, and he looks just like what they needed to go from pretenders to actual contenders.
So, it seems like the Heat will need to keep on the hard work to try and find another sidekick for Butler, regardless of his reputation.
