Tyreek Hill’s arrival with the Miami Dolphins was a complete success as he shattered their single-season receiving record in 2023.
Yet just one year later, the landscape shifted dramatically. Hill’s production dwindled to 959 yards in 2024, with 29 players across the NFL posting a better number.
Trade speculation has naturally followed this decline.
Dolphins general manager Chris Grier recently addressed these rumors, according to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, attempting to quiet the noise while leaving possibilities open.
“That is not anything that we’re pursuing. Who knows? If someone wants to come and give me two first-round picks, we’ll consider it,” Grier said, via Sports Illustrated.

The reality is that no team appears likely to surrender two first-round selections for Hill in the current market.
For context, Miami paid a premium package for Hill three years ago, sending a first-round and second-round pick, two fourth-round picks, and a sixth-round selection to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Now, Hill is 31 years old coming off an underwhelming season.
Grier claims that no team has reached out regarding a potential trade.
This silence might indicate a shifting perception of Hill’s value across the league, as teams possibly no longer view him as the game-changing threat he once was.
Only the NFL’s truly elite talents typically command multiple first-round picks in a trade, and whether Hill still belongs in that category remains questionable.
Nevertheless, should an offer materialize, Miami may find it difficult to decline.
