The Miami Dolphins have gotten off to an excellent start this season, as they hold a 4-1 record and are first in points scored and total yards gained.
However, they don’t have a full roster, and they will need to be fully healthy if they are to have any real shot at winning their first Super Bowl championship since the 1973 season.
Rookie running back De’Von Achane, who has had a sensational start to his NFL career, is out for at least the next four games with a knee injury, while veteran star cornerback Jalen Ramsey has been out since training camp with a torn meniscus.
Ramsey has been expected to be out until December, but per Chris Perkins, Dolphins cornerback coach Sam Madison said there’s a chance he could return next month instead.

Miami has been struggling on defense — they’re 23rd in total yards allowed and 26th in points allowed — and it could end up being their fatal flaw unless Ramsey returns sooner than later and quickly gets back into game shape and rhythm.
He has made the Pro Bowl in each of the last six seasons, and he has been named to the All-Pro First Team three times during that span.
Last season, he had 18 passes defended, four interceptions, and 2.0 sacks for the Los Angeles Rams, and the season before that, he helped them win the Super Bowl against the Cincinnati Bengals.
If Miami continues to win games in bunches, it would buy Ramsey some time as far as making sure he’s 100 percent before returning to game action.
