The Miami Dolphins‘ offensive line woes continue.
Germain Ifedi was recently placed on injured reserve, and they had to act swiftly to find another replacement.
That’s why they signed former New England Patriots tackle Yodny Cajuste ahead of their second joint practice with the Detroit Lions.

Cajuste was a third-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and was with the Patriots until 2022, but he only played in 17 games and made five starts.
He signed with the New York Jets but was let go after sustaining an injury in the offseason.
The New York Giants signed him to the practice squad, and he didn’t play in the 2023 regular season.
Then, he was injured again in the following offseason and was forced to miss the entire 2024 campaign.
His history of injuries is a major concern, but the Dolphins worked him out, so they may feel comfortable with his current condition.
The Dolphins signed Ifedi, a first-round pick by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2016 NFL Draft, after starting right tackle Austin Jackson suffered a lower-body injury.
However, he didn’t look good in their preseason game against the Chicago Bears.
Ifedi played for the Cleveland Browns last season and gave up four sacks in 13 starts at left tackle.
Given Miami’s injuries on the offensive line, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Cajuste not only make the roster but also have a legitimate chance to start, provided he manages to stay healthy.
