The Los Angeles Dodgers had an emotional moment on Wednesday night.
That is because pitcher Daniel Hudson recorded his first save since suffering a devastating injury last season.
He suffered the injury last June and has spent a year rehabbing and recovering to try and get back on the mound.
For a 36-year-old player, recovering from an ACL injury is not easy.
But Hudson has taken it in stride and he deserved the opportunity to get the save on Wednesday.
According to Fabian Ardaya, Hudson got choked up discussing his first save since the injury.
Hudson said: “Special feeling.”
Daniel Hudson got choked up discussing his first save since his torn ACL and the months of rehab that led up to it. Was talking about walking through the bullpen gate and his eyes got red.
“Special feeling,” he said.

This was the third appearance for Hudson on the season but his first save opportunity.
In the three innings he has pitched he has yet to allow a run.
Hudson has spent 14 years in MLB but this might have been one of the most special nights of his career.
For a team that has suffered a plethora of injuries this year, it is great to see Hudson back.
Still, the Dodgers are going to need to upgrade a few spots to remain in World Series contention.
The Dodgers need to use the trade deadline to acquire some starting pitching.
They just lost Dustin May for the season and Clayton Kershaw is also on the injured list.
LA has plenty of pressure to be competitive in the playoffs.
Especially after being knocked out in the first round last year.
It is safe to assume they will be aggressive to improve their team over the next few weeks.
