Trade season is upon us, and soon, contending MLB teams will be adding the finishing touches on their rosters for the stretch run of the 2023 season.
Pitching is always highly sought after at the deadline, and the Los Angeles Dodgers are a team that is looking to add some pitching.
According to Jon Morosi of MLB Network, the Dodgers are one of the teams showing interest in Chicago White Sox starter Lucas Giolito.
Giolito is enjoying a bounce-back campaign this year, boasting a 3.45 ERA and a record of 6-5 over his 19 starts.
The White Sox are expected to be deadline sellers this year.
Morosi broke the news on Twitter.
The Dodgers are interested in White Sox RHP Lucas Giolito, one of the top available pitchers, sources say.

Giolito would be an interesting fit for the Dodgers.
The veteran right-hander is from Southern California and was teammates in high school with Atlanta Braves ace Max Fried and Jack Flaherty of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Morosi notes that according to MLB Pipeline, the Dodgers have nine of the top 100 prospects in baseball.
That’s the most out of all 30 teams.
Giolito would give the Dodgers another ace to go alongside Julio Urias in their rotation.
Urias has been the team’s top starter in recent years, but Giolito would give them somebody who can record strikeouts, which plays well in the postseason.
The Dodgers are tied at the top of the NL West with the Arizona Diamondbacks, but lead the division by virtue of winning percentage.
Starting pitching is Los Angeles’ biggest need at the deadline this year, and the Dodgers will likely make a strong push for Giolito.
