We have finally reached the halfway point of the 2022 MLB season.
We’re finally starting to see who the true contenders are and who ultimately will remain on the outside looking in.
To nobody’s surprise, the Los Angeles Dodgers are one of the true contenders.
Even with the injuries piling up, the Dodgers have torn through everybody in the National League to this point.
They’re red-hot at the moment, having won four in a row.
They also own the National League’s best record.
Dodgers insider Blake Harris points out something interesting, but not terribly surprising on Twitter, that the Dodgers enter the All-Star Break with a 10-game lead in the National League West.

Dodgers Hold Commanding Lead In The NL West
The Dodgers are always a team that spends a lot of money and makes the right trades.
This is still very clearly the best team in the NL, even with all the injuries they’ve had.
It’s a testament to their depth and the way they go about their business as a team and as an organization.
The “next man up” mentality has paid off for them.
But with teams like the San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants in their division, it’s impressive that they’ve staked out such a huge lead.
As we know, you should never count your chickens before they’re hatched.
There’s still a full second half to play this season.
But the Dodgers have put themselves in a very favorable position right now.
They’re in position to make some key moves at the trade deadline to bolster their World Series chances.
The second half will begin later this week, and the Dodgers have a lot to look forward to as we moved towards the final months of the 2022 season.
