The Los Angeles Dodgers are one team that has no problem spending money each offseason.
If you look at the highest payrolls in baseball, you will always see the Dodgers at the top.
But, there is one player they sign each year who is not making a dollar.
That is former outfielder Andrew Toles.
According to Front Office Sports, Toles has re-signed with the Dodgers for a $0 contract.
The team did that to give Toles mental health services and insurance.
In 2020, Toles was homeless and diagnosed with schizophrenia.

That is why the Dodgers feel it is important to give Toles these benefits.
LA spent over $1 billion this offseason in free agency.
They are going “all-in” to win the World Series in 2024, but even with that, they have the presence to not forget about Toles.
Toles was a clubhouse favorite during his time with the Dodgers.
You can bet the whole organization endorses this gesture.
Still, the Dodgers have a season to get ready for which begins next week.
They start their season in South Korea against the San Diego Padres.
It is a two-game series to begin the year and the atmosphere is expected to be electric, as it will be the first chance we get to see Shohei Ohtani in a Dodgers uniform.
He signed the largest contract in MLB history this offseason and that comes with monster expectations.
The Dodgers will be one team everyone has their eyes on this season.
