Netflix has released multiple sports documentaries in recent seasons.
These documentaries have given fans an inside look into the life of professional athletes, peeling back a curtain that hasn’t been revealed to this degree in the past.
“Quarterback” and “Receiver” were two hit series about the NFL and what it’s like to play those positions, and “Starting Five” was another hit show about some of the top NBA players around the league.
Even Aaron Rodgers, a maligned player (and person) to many fans, just had a Netflix documentary come about him and his journey.
There haven’t been many single-player films to come out to this point, but it could be a new trend considering their latest announcement.
As JPA Football highlighted on X, John Elway is getting a documentary on the streaming platform, fittingly called “Elway.”
Netflix has announced a new documentary titled “Elway” that will follow the career and life of #Broncos HOF QB John Elway.

This documentary is slated to showcase his life, and how he accomplished everything he did throughout his career.
Elway is known to many fans as the best quarterback in team history, although, some make the argument for Peyton Manning.
He had a 16-year NFL career, spending every season with the Broncos, which adds to his case for being the best in team history.
Elway not only had a lot of success with the team, but he stuck with them through it all, even when they experienced turmoil or down seasons.
He also helped the organization win two Super Bowls, and racked up several accolades throughout his career, including league MVP in 1987.
