After decades of disappointment and a remarkable inability to get it right at the quarterback position, the Chicago Bears finally have an opportunity to bring in a generational player to lead the way under center, with the team being in the ideal position to draft Caleb Williams out of the University of Southern California on April 25.
With the Bears having the No. 1 overall pick for the second year in a row, the team intends to keep the pick, unlike they did last year, and all signs are pointing to Chicago drafting Williams in order to hopefully secure the quarterback position for the foreseeable future.
Although this seems like the right move by the Bears, Chicago has been getting a lot of flak lately for being such a poorly run organization, as some believe the team will derail the promising career of Williams.
One of those critics of the Bears is former Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver Dez Bryant, who took to Twitter to say he wishes the Bears didn’t have the top pick.
“As of right now the bears organization is dysfunctional so don’t expect Caleb Williams to come in there and change the show,” Bryant said.
I really wish Caleb Williams wasn’t going to Bears to be honest

Even though Bryant and others are justified in their concern for Williams because of the Bears’ track record with quarterbacks over the years, it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that the USC superstar is precisely what the team needs to turn things around in Chicago.
Only time will tell if Williams is the real deal and able to live up to the high expectations he’s been given, as the pressure will be on right out of the gate when he starts his NFL career.
