Even though they also have Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton, and now Kevin Durant, Devin Booker has always been the face of the Phoenix Suns franchise.
The Suns will go as far as he can lead them, and he’s embraced that leadership role on and off the court with poise and maturity.
That’s why media members were stunned to find out that the young shooting guard had left the arena shortly after the loss, failing to fulfill his obligations and address the media.
Devin Booker left the arena without speaking to the media.

Booker is a fierce competitor who has always shown his frustration when things don’t go his way.
He’s never hesitated to embrace criticism or even be held accountable for the team’s shortcomings, so this is uncharacteristic of a guy like him.
This has become a common trend around the league now and one the NBA might look to address soon.
Players are choosing to pay fines instead of addressing the media.
Of course, no one likes to lose, especially at this time of the season, but talking to the media is a part of the job, and they need to deal with that as such.
Booker strung together some incredible performances throughout the course of the playoffs, and he single-handedly kept the Suns’ hopes alive during the series vs. the Denver Nuggets.
He’ll definitely be back at this stage many more times in his career, and there’s no reason to think the Suns won’t be legit NBA championship contenders for years to come with him at the helm.
