The Phoenix Suns recently faced off against the Memphis Grizzlies during the NBA In-Season Tournament game.
It was never a close affair as the Suns registered an easy 110-89 win over a Ja Morant-less Memphis Grizzlies roster.
Devin Booker was part of a controversial moment when he nailed a three-pointer from deep, even though the Suns were already well ahead in the game.
After the win, Devin Booker shared the reason behind hitting a three-pointer even though the Suns were already comfortably winning the game via Duane Rankin on Twitter.
"No disrespect to the Grizzlies. I wouldn't take shot if it wasn't In-Season Tournament, but we needed it."

Booker claimed he only hit a shot from downtown to improve the Phoenix Suns’ points differential for the NBA In-Season Tournament.
Now, that’s a valid explanation for Devin Booker’s actions, who had 40 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in the easy win over the Grizzlies.
Considering the Suns are in the West A group, where the Los Angeles Lakers have already qualified for the knockout stages of the NBA In-Season Tournament, they need to have a good points differential to qualify for the next round.
As of now, the Suns are in the second spot in the West A group with a point differential of +34.
Keeping that in mind, the Suns have a pretty good chance of making it to the knockout stages through wildcard entry.
For the regular season, the Suns have improved their record to 10-6, as they are now the fourth seed in the Western Conference.
Considering the Big 3 of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal are yet to play even a single game together, the Suns have a chance to become one of the best teams in the West by the end of the season.
