The Milwaukee Bucks lost Jrue Holiday, so they needed a gritty backcourt defender to make up for that.
They turned to Patrick Beverley, who’s clearly not on the same level, but has a reputation for his toughness on that end of the floor.
He was reunited with his former coach Doc Rivers, and he’s always been open about how good of a relationship they have.
However, that reunion could be cut short.
According to a report by Evan Sidery of Forbes Sports, Hapoel Tel Aviv of the Israel Premier League is trying to get him to play overseas.
Hapoel Tel Aviv of the Israeli Premier League is pursuing Patrick Beverley for an overseas contract.
The club has presented Beverley a substantial contract offer.

Apparently, they’re ready to make him a very lucrative offer.
He’s the kind of player who fans and players love when he’s on their team, and not so much when he’s on the other end of the court.
And he’s not the highest-profile player in the league, so perhaps he could make significantly more money overseas at this point in his career.
Whether he’s going to make that decision or will decide to stay in the U.S. remains to be seen, as he could still get another shot somewhere else, even with the Bucks.
But at the end of the day, this is a business first and foremost, and money will always be king, so it’ll be interesting to see what decision he makes about his future in basketball.
