The hits just keep on coming for the Philadelphia 76ers.
After losing Joel Embiid once again to injuries and a suspension and also not having Paul George for the start of the season, the 76ers are now going to be without Tyrese Maxey for at least a couple of weeks.
That is according to Shams Charania who appeared on “First Take” Thursday morning to talk about Maxey’s hamstring injury.
Charania said the Sixers are taking this soft tissue problem very seriously and will not push to have Maxey back on the court until he is truly ready to play again.
But with the Sixers holding a weak 1-6 record, can they really be without him for very long?

This season has been a bit of a nightmare for the 76ers so far.
They lost both Embiid and George before the very first game and that put them on the bad path they’re on now.
Maxey has been a bright spot for the team, averaging 27.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.9 assists.
He will be dearly missed by the Sixers, but thankfully George just got back into rotation and Embiid will return next week.
Of course, this team will only reach its true potential when all three players are performing together.
The Sixers will fight hard to improve their record so that when Maxey is healthy again, they are in much better shape.
They haven’t given up on their dreams of reaching the Finals but the 76ers need the injuries to stop to make that happen.
