The Philadelphia 76ers and Quentin Grimes are not seeing eye-to-eye on a new contract.
New reporting from Gina Mizell summed up the current state of negotiations between the two sides.
Apparently, the Sixers have offered Grimes four years at $39 million.
But Grimes and his management believe that he is worth something like $25 million annually.
Obviously, there is a wide gap between what Grimes wants and what the Sixers are willing to put up.
Quentin Grimes reportedly believes he is worth $25 million per year, per @ginamizell

Grimes is not attending media day for the team, which is never a good sign.
And he’s not going with the team to preseason games in Abu Dhabi.
But even though Grimes isn’t with the team right now, it doesn’t mean he won’t be suiting up on Opening Night.
However, he could only be with the team on a short-term, one-year contract.
If Grimes doesn’t get what he wants, he will likely choose an option that will allow him to play but also lay the groundwork for moving on.
It’s somewhat surprising to hear that the Sixers don’t want to give Grimes more, because they might need him a lot in 2025-26.
Injuries were a huge problem last year, and there is a chance they’ll get in their way again in the new season.
That means the 76ers might call upon Grimes often, but they still don’t want to put up more cash for him.
It’s important to note that if Grimes goes with the $8.7 million qualifying offer, he’d have a no-trade clause in his contract.
That would obviously prevent the Sixers from moving him this year, and they don’t want to lose that option.
For a number of reasons, it would be smart for both sides to keep negotiating and create better terms that they can all agree on.
