Jonathan Kuminga of the Golden State Warriors just had his best season ever and proved he could be a very important part of the team for years to come.
But just how much is Kuminga really worth?
The Warriors will have to answer that question soon.
According to a report from Jake Fischer, per Legion Hoops, Kumigna is seeking a $224 million max extension from Golden State.
Now, the question is if he will get it.

Kuminga posted 16.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game in the 2023-24 season.
Things got off to a rocky start and it wasn’t clear what his future with the team was going to be.
But Kuminga and head coach Steve Kerr hashed things out, came up with a game plan, and then moved forward through the rest of the season.
That proved to be a turning point for Kuminga, who soon got more time on the court and was much more productive.
By the end of the season, Kuminga was a crucial part of the lineup and reports said that the front office was very keen on keeping him for the long-term future.
In fact, some reports said that Kuminga was viewed as untouchable by the Warriors.
If he really is untouchable, Kuminga should get this maximum extension.
But that is a massive amount of money and the Warriors might be hesitant to offer it to him, especially when so much about their roster and future is in flux right now.
If Kuminga doesn’t get the sort of extension he wants from the Warriors, will he go elsewhere?
