For years, Derek Carr led the Oakland and Las Vegas Raiders through thick and thin.
One could argue that he had some questionable moments, but his overall numbers could make a case for him being a franchise quarterback.
However, after just one season under HC Josh McDaniels, the Raiders organization has decided to move on from him, with him waiving his no-trade clause to pursue the next step in his career.
So, Carr is representing the NFL instead of wearing Raiders’ gear during the Pro Bowl festivities, an awkward situation that fueled countless jokes and memes.
But instead of taking things to heart, the Fresno State product also showed his sense of humor.
When asked about whether he had already been ‘that hot’ in Las Vegas after balling out in one of the challenges, Carr had an epic response, claiming that it’s the reason why he’s leaving the team.

Truth be told, it would be hard to point the finger at Carr for the Raiders’ season.
McDaniels left a lot to be desired as a play-caller and decision-maker, even losing to Jeff Saturday — who had no experience as a coach at the collegiate or professional level — in his debut in charge of the Indianapolis Colts.
But the relationship between both sides was already worn out, and there’s no better moment to make a change of scenery than the present while he’s still in his prime.
Clearly, things have gotten a little personal here, so we’ll see if Carr will make the Raiders regret their decision.
