Former NFL great Deion Sanders has been dealing with some major issues as of late.
The legendary defender underwent emergency surgery on Friday morning after his medical team discovered blood clots in his groin.
And while it seems like everything went exactly as planned, it might take a while before he’s back on his feet.
That’s why his beloved girlfriend, Tracey Edmonds, took to Instagram to promise him that she shouldn’t leave his side until he’s back to full strength.

Needless to say, that prompted countless likes, reactions, and comments on the social network, with countless fans wishing coach Sanders the best.
Notably, Sanders isn’t in the clear just yet.
Not so long ago, his medical staff let him know about the possibility of having his foot amputated.
He’s already lost a couple of toes because of those blood clots, and it seems like his health could be deteriorating quickly.
That’s definitely a big concern for the Colorado program and its fans, as Sanders was poised to take over and lead the way, looking to find the same success he found during his iconic three-year stint at HBCU Jackson State.
It doesn’t seem like Sanders will be able to fulfill his contract obligations with the program if things continue to go this way for him.
Then again, his health should always be the No. 1 priority, and people will definitely understand if he’s forced to stay on the shelf while he gets back to full strength; he’s earned it.
