With the biggest issue for the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs over the past two seasons being the wide receiver position, the storied franchise has done everything within its power to upgrade the position but has dealt with some unfortunate injuries to Rashee Rice and Marquise Brown.
Although losing those two talented wideouts to season-ending injuries was very costly, the Chiefs were able to pivot and land a player who was once considered to be one of the elite wide receivers in the league before landing with the Tennessee Titans.
Even though DeAndre Hopkins’ stint with the Titans was forgettable, to say the least, the veteran wide receiver has been given a chance to resurrect his career while catching passes from arguably the best quarterback in the NFL, Patrick Mahomes.
Hopkins’ debut with the Chiefs wasn’t anything to get excited about as he caught only two passes, but he followed it up with a gem on Monday Night Football in the win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with two touchdown catches, which prompted him to take to his X account claiming he and Mahomes are the new Tom Brady and Randy Moss duo.

This is a bit premature, as he’s comparing him and Mahomes to one of the best quarterback-wide receiver duos of all time, and they’ve only played in two games together.
However, the win over the Buccaneers showed a lot of promise that these two could be lethal moving forward, which bodes well for the only undefeated team left in the league.
