The Sacramento Kings were one of the surprise teams during the 2022-23 NBA season as they managed to outperform off-season expectations.
The Kings finished third in the Western Conference and looked like a legitimate playoff threat before succumbing to the Golden State Warriors in a thrilling first-round seven-game series.
Despite the disappointing end to their season, Sacramento has a strong foundation to work with and they could once again find themselves in the thick of the postseason race.
A large reason for the Kings’ turnaround was De’Aaron Fox who turned into a first-time All-Star and made All-NBA Third Team.
Fox broke out as the NBA’s most clutch scorer and was a great leader throughout the regular season.
The point guard is a rising talent in the league and he expressed his desire to see a documentary made of the Dallas basketball scene via his Twitter account.
Idk if it’s happened but Dallas needs a basketball documentary. The talent that comes out of there is ridiculous. https://t.co/GU5EFwJFzQ

Fox himself played for Cypress Lakes High School in Katy, TX which is roughly four hours away from Dallas.
The Kings star is quite familiar with the players coming out from the Dallas area, though the nation seems fairly oblivious to it as Texas is more known for its football talent rather than basketball.
Nowadays, great players hail from all over the country and it’s exciting to see how the game of basketball has grown over the years.
Fox is a great example of a highly-recruited prospect developing into a star player at the NBA level and it’ll be fun for fans to see who follows in his footsteps in the coming years.
