The Milwaukee Bucks and Sacramento Kings got a little physical at the end of their game Monday night.
Emotions were high as Giannis Antetokounmpo kept marching and dribbling the ball while the clock expired, and Trey Lyles might have felt a little disrespected by that.
Lyles grabbed Giannis and tried to take the basketball away from him, which led to Brook Lopez getting into it with him and other rivals.
When asked about the situation, Kings guard De’Aaron Fox claimed that it was Giannis’ fault for not dribbling the ball out.
De'Aaron Fox: “I mean, Giannis can just dribble the ball out. That’s all he had to do, and nothing would have happened.”

While Fox might have a valid point right here, in the sense that dribbling the clock out is a standard procedure and an unwritten rule, it’s not like Giannis took a shot or was trying to showboat or dunk the ball as the clock ran out.
He was just walking across midcourt while dribbling the basketball and waiting for the game to end; it didn’t seem disrespectful at all.
The Bucks were up by double digits, and the game was already over, and it just seemed like Lyles was a little salty about the loss.
It’s been a while since the Kings last made the playoffs, and this young team has shown plenty of pride throughout the whole season.
They fight hard and want to compete at the highest level any given night, and that kind of competitive fire can sometimes get in the way of clear judgment.
Fortunately, things didn’t escalate too much, and let’s just hope there are no suspensions after this avoidable incident.
