Davante Adams is now a New York Jet.
The former Raiders star was traded to the Big Apple after things in Las Vegas simply didn’t work out with the Raiders.
In his first sit-down with the New York media this week, Adams talked about why things didn’t end up working out with the team from Sin City.
“A lot of the success me and Aaron had is because we were on the same page…Sometimes you gotta find a way to still make a play work…I’ve got a lot of familiarity with this offense and with the quarterback, and he understands how I see the game,” Adams said Wednesday.

What Adams said there basically means that the Raiders could not find a way to get on the same page with him from an offensive perspective.
That is why he wanted to come play with Aaron Rodgers and the Jets.
Not only is his favorite teammate the quarterback, but he also has a lot of other connections.
Offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett was with Adams and Rodgers in Green Bay, and he helped Adams become a First-Team All-Pro.
Other former Packers teammates such as fellow wide receiver Allen Lazard are there too.
But there simply was no familiarity or consistency in Las Vegas, especially after Adams’s old college teammate, quarterback Derek Carr, was let go after just one season.
Now, he is back with the quarterback that he has had the most success with in his great career, along with a very successful offensive system.
