Last season, the Las Vegas Raiders had Super Bowl hopes after trading for star wide receiver Davante Adams, but they instead suffered through a miserable year that resulted in a 6-11 record.
This season isn’t looking any better so far, as they hold a 1-2 mark after they fell, 23-18, to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
Adams hinted at feeling impatient when he said he “don’t got time to just wait around,” via Dov Kleiman.

Adams is one of the few Las Vegas players who is performing well so far in 2023, as he has 322 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 25 catches, and he is fourth in the NFL in receiving yards behind only Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, and Keenan Allen.
He had 172 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday versus Pittsburgh, but it wasn’t enough, as his team fell behind big, and its late rally just wasn’t enough.
Las Vegas currently ranks just 25th in total yards gained and 28th in points scored, and their running game has been particularly bad, as running back Josh Jacobs hasn’t looked at all like the man who led the league in rushing yards last year.
Fortunately, they will have some winnable games coming up against the Los Angeles Chargers, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, and Chicago Bears, which will give them an opportunity to make their record look respectable by late October.
Adams will have to lead the way if the Raiders are to get over .500, as they also rank in the bottom half of the NFL in multiple defensive categories.
