Davante Adams is one of the best players in the NFL.
As such, it only makes sense that he wants to play for a contending team at this point in his career.
He did so when he was with the Green Bay Packers, yet he couldn’t win a Super Bowl ring.
In hindsight, his decision to leave the team to force his way to the Las Vegas Raiders might not have been the wisest, at least from a football perspective.
He then doubled down on that by being traded to the New York Jets.
That’s why it’s safe to say he’s had enough of losing teams and unstable or dysfunctional situations.
With that in mind, he didn’t hesitate to shut down any potential interest in playing for the Chicago Bears.
In his recent appearance on Kay Adams’ “Up & Adams” show, the renowned wide receiver claimed he wouldn’t play for them.
“No,” Adams replied when asked if he would play for the Bears.
Kay: "Would you ever play for the Bears?"
Davante Adams: "No."

Truth be told, it’s hard to blame him.
If anything, he should be looking to play for a contending team.
Adams has openly talked about potentially leaving the Jets in the offseason.
They might have to release him if they can’t rework his contract or find him a trade partner.
If that’s the case, he will look for the absolute best opportunity to win a Super Bowl, knowing he’s not getting any younger.
And while the Bears could still have a bright future, it might take a while.
Add Adams’ past with the Packers and their heated rivalry with the Bears to the mix, and it’s an easy choice for him.
