The Las Vegas Raiders have had an underwhelming offseason so far, as they have signed star defensive tackle Christian Wilkins but lost two-time Pro Bowl running back Josh Jacobs.
Jacobs is now a member of a fast-rising Green Bay Packers team, and the Raiders will have to lean more on wide receivers Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers.
Adams took to social media to express his feelings about Jacobs’ departure, and while he isn’t pleased, he said on Instagram that he wishes Jacobs well, per Raiders fan @CmonCity10 on Twitter.

Jacobs led the NFL in rushing yards in 2022, earning him All-Pro First-Team honors, but his production fell in 2023 to a merely solid 805 rushing yards and six touchdowns.
Adams, a six-time Pro Bowler, also saw his numbers dip last season, and it was the first time since 2016 that he wasn’t named to the Pro Bowl.
He still managed to put up 1,144 yards and eight touchdowns on 103 catches, and at least some of his depressed output was due to Las Vegas’ substandard quarterback play.
Veteran Jimmy Garoppolo, a former understudy of the legendary Tom Brady, was the starter under center when the season began, but he was eventually benched in favor of rookie Aidan O’Connell.
If the Raiders figure out their quarterback situation, perhaps they can seriously compete for a playoff spot next season, especially now that they have a head coach in Antonio Pierce who is loved and respected by their players.
They will have the No. 13 pick in next month’s draft, and it remains to be seen if they use it on a quarterback.
