Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers looks ready to play.
The Lakers tweeted a video of their legendary big man in the gym, pushing his body hard in the weeks before the new season tips off.
They also included a quote from head coach Darvin Ham, who loves what he sees.
“I’ve witnessed him getting into the gym (a ton)… As soon as he walks into the room, you can tell (the work he’s put in),” Ham said.

Lakers fans can’t help but be excited by this.
Undoubtedly, Davis is one of the best big men in the league when he is healthy and his body is in good shape.
But that’s the thing: he has to be healthy in order to be productive for the Lakers.
Conditioning and working out go a long way to ensuring that Davis can last the lengthy NBA season.
Over the last few years, that has been a lot of criticism of the training and conditioning of Davis.
In 2020-21, just months after winning the championship, Davis only played in 36 games for the whole season.
The following season, he stepped up to 40 games.
While his record of 56 games in 2022-23 isn’t perfect, it shows that Davis has been able to play more recently.
It is no coincidence that the Lakers had their best season since 2020 with a healthy Davis.
If he can stay strong and in good shape for a whole season, the Lakers have a good shot at another strong run in the playoffs.
Davis’ time in the gym will definitely help him but the front office has also put in great effort to acquire more power forwards and centers to support Davis.
That means he will ideally be able to get more rest and stay healthier for the entirety of the season.
