Many Western Conference teams have been eliminated in the playoffs by Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors over the years.
The Los Angeles Lakers do not want to be one of them.
After a surprising road victory with Tuesday’s Game 1, the Lakers are hoping to score another win on Thursday night in San Francisco.
Lakers head coach Darvin Ham talked about how his team will do that against such formidable foes who have come back from many deficits before.
“We are gonna treat each game as its own entity…you just take it one step at a time,” Ham told the press.
“We all know what they’re capable of doing,” Ham said of the defending NBA champions.

In his press conference, Ham was reminded that the Warriors were in a 0-2 hole during their last series against the Sacramento Kings.
As everyone knows, they were able to fight back from that and win the opening round.
It is worth noting that the Warriors lost those first two games against the Kings on the road so LA’s victory in San Francisco is even more impressive and could spell trouble for the Warriors.
Regardless of that, Ham isn’t focused on the past, either the immediate or the far-reaching, and is instead committed to handling each game as its own beast.
He said that he knows the Warriors will make adjustments to their game and the Lakers need to be ready to do the same.
If LA can score another win in the Bay Area, they will have a definitive, though not insurmountable, lead over the reigning NBA champions.
