Indianapolis Colts All-Pro linebacker Darius Leonard could not get some love from the makers of the Madden NFL 23 video game.
Even his own team had to call out the lack of respect after he received the fifth-highest overall rating for linebackers.
The Colts had to point out that Leonard deserves a higher rating than 90 because he was voted as the top linebacker in the recent ESPN poll of NFL coaches, executives, players, and scouts.
He is also the only player in league history to have eight forced fumbles and four interceptions in a season.
But just when Colts fans think that the travesty is over, Madden NFL 23 revealed the list of the Top 10 linebackers in terms of tackling.
The result is so egregious that Leonard had to comment.
Oh yeah now y’all are just getting disrespectful now

After realizing that he ranked seventh for that specific attribute, Leonard tweeted, “Oh yeah now y’all are just getting disrespectful now.”
De’Vondre Campbell tops the list with a 97 rating while Roquan Smith is second at 96.
Completing the top five are Bobby Wagner, Jordyn Brooks, and T.J. Edwards, who all have 95 rankings.
Demario Davis is tied with Leonard at 94 while Lavonte David and Kyzir White have 92.
Denzel Perryman completes the list with a 91 rating.
Leonard’s Numbers Have Declined
Yes, Leonard is still one of the best tacklers in the NFL.
However, his numbers were nowhere near his stellar rookie season wherein he led the league in that category with 163 total tackles, 111 of which were solo.
Last season, Leonard had 75 solo tackles which is lower than his 86 in 2020.
That’s an anomaly considering that he played two more games in 2021 than in 2020.
EA Sports relies on the player’s production to arrive at their ratings.
Therefore, that slide over the past two seasons caused Leonard to fall in that category.
