The Washington Commanders needed another dynamic weapon for their offense.
Fortunately for them, Adam Peters happened to know just the right guy from his previous stop.
He made a run at Deebo Samuel, and it didn’t take long before he made his presence felt in his new organization.
Talking to Kay Adams on “Up & Adams,” head coach Dan Quinn shared his honest thoughts on Samuel, stating that he’s not only a great player but also a very fun guy to coach.
“I knew he was a good player, what I didn’t know was how much fun he is to coach,” Quinn said.

Samuel was one of the most disruptive weapons in the game just a couple of years ago.
Injuries and some weight issues have derailed his career, and he also took a step back as Christian McCaffrey arrived in San Francisco and Brandon Aiyuk demanded a bigger role in the offense.
The Commanders aren’t likely to give him a lot of touches out of the backfield, but having him out there gives offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury another dynamic asset for his trickery and deception.
He can line him up all over the field, and he will be a perennial dual-threat weapon.
The Commanders still need to reach an agreement with Terry McLaurin, who’s holding out in an attempt to get a new contract extension.
He’s reportedly looking to make north of $30 million in his next contract.
Samuel will most likely step up as the primary pass-catcher if they can’t strike a deal.
But if they do so, they could have one of the most productive wide receiver duos in the entire league.
