Lamar Jackson may not want to play for the Baltimore Ravens anymore, but he has little-to-no control over his situation right now.
All he can hope for is that the team will eventually comply with his trade request and send him somewhere else, but it’s not like there has been much of a market for his services.
However, and surprisingly, Dan Patrick recently revealed that the San Francisco 49ers “kicked the tires” and inquired about a potential trade for his services.

Patrick added that he wasn’t surprised by that because teams should always look to get better.
Of course, Jackson would be a huge improvement over every single quarterback on their roster, but the timing seems kind of odd.
He never clarified whether the Niners reached out to the Ravens at the end of the season, during the NFL Scouting Combine, or last week, so we can’t tell for sure.
GM John Lynch and HC Kyle Shanahan have vouched their support for Brock Purdy to take over once he’s healthy again, and there has been some chatter about Trey Lance being traded during the NFL Draft.
They also signed Sam Darnold as an insurance policy, so it’s hard to envision them trying to pull off a big move to acquire Jackson.
Jackson took to Twitter to reveal that he had requested a trade early in March but the team had refused to engage in talks to let him go, and it all points out to him playing under the non-exclusive franchise tag in 2023.NEXT: Titans Owner Comments On Today's Stadium News
