The Arizona Cardinals got off to a solid start.
They couldn’t hold onto their lead and allowed Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills to storm back, but there were some encouraging signs, especially on offense.
With that in mind, former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky took to social media to gush about Kyler Murray and his tape, stating that it was ‘big-time.’
Kyler Murray’s tape today was bigtime
-Threw it really well all over/ a ton of different throws
-Patient in the pocket
-made some big plays with his feet (total whiff by me)
-if not for 2 drops late on perfect throws may have stole a win on road— Dan Orlovsky (@danorlovsky7) September 9, 2024
Orlovsky pointed out that Murray threw the ball really well all over the field and made a ton of different throws.
He was also patient in the pocket, made big plays with his feet, and Orlovsky blamed a couple of late drops on perfect throws that could’ve won the game for them.
To be fair, he also missed a wide-open Marvin Harrison Jr. on a potential game-winning touchdown.
Murray missed a big chunk of last season with an injury, but he looked sharp.
We know he can make plays with his legs, and while his arm strength isn’t enticing by any means, he’s an accurate quarterback who can find his guys in stride.
Even so, it’s difficult to know what to make of this new-look Cardinals team right now.
While they looked better than some people anticipated, there are also some concerns about the Bills, so we might need to watch both teams against different opponents before we jump to conclusions.
This is a make-or-break year for the former No. 1 pick, and he’ll have to put in a show in order to turn the narrative around about him once and for all.
