The Green Bay Packers made a big splash on the first day of free agency.
It was a tough day for the fans from an emotional standpoint, as letting go of David Bakhtiari and Aaron Jones had to hurt.
Then again, from a business and a football perspective, the team got significantly better with the additions of Xavier McKinney and Josh Jacobs.
Jacobs’ signing, in particular, could be impactful for this team for years to come.
According to former NFL QB Dan Orlovsky, this is just the move the Packers needed to take Jordan Love to the next level.
Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, he explained that adding a workhorse like Jacobs sets Jordan Love not only for success but for actual offensive dominance.
"You're talking about setting Jordan Love up, not for success, but for the potential for domination offensively." 😲

He stated that Jacobs is the kind of running back that could be on the field on any down or any circumstance, and the Packers wouldn’t need to mix things up like they did with the Aaron Jones-AJ Dillon tandem.
Jacobs is one of the most underrated and productive players in the game, not to mention quite durable.
He’s also three years younger than Aaron Jones.
The Packers’ offense closed out the year on a high note, and they should thrive on that side of the field for as long as Matt LaFleur is calling the shots.
So, don’t sleep on this team, as they have already shown glimpses of great play, and are only going to keep getting better as they get more experienced.
