The Detroit Lions have played like the best team in the league this season.
At the very least, they should be considered one of the best three.
Nevertheless, as great as they’ve been, some still worry about Dan Campbell and his aggressive decision-making.
That’s why, in a recent interview with NFL on CBS, they asked him about his approach to going for it on fourth down and whether it was situational or his mindset.
Campbell admitted that his decision to go for it over and over vs. the Green Bay Packers had to do with the fact that they were pretty banged up on defense, so he asked a lot from the offense.
"We were pretty beat up on defense… So I put a lot on our offense, and they came through."

Fortunately for him, they came through.
The Lions have absolutely everything they need to win.
Campbell deserves a lot of credit for what they’ve accomplished, not only on the field but also in building a winning culture within the organization.
Then again, as much as the players always rally behind him because they know how much he trusts them, he sometimes needs to be more conservative.
The Lions are no longer an underdog; they’re supposed to be the team to beat.
As such, they will have to be smart when it comes to managing the clock and making decisions in crucial times.
There’s no need to change his mindset drastically, but if his uber-aggressiveness costs his team a playoff win, there will be a lot of chatter about him.
