It takes confidence to be an NBA player; otherwise, you’re going to get eaten alive on the court night in and night out.
NBA stars are some of the best players on Earth, and it’s hard to put into context just how much better they are than the rest of the pack.
That’s why the gap between the superstars and the stars is even crazier, and even some of the players may not realize it.
That could’ve been the case in Damian Lillard’s latest interview, as he had a rather blunt answer when asked if he was the best point guard in the league.
Lillard stated that he doesn’t think anyone’s better than him when he’s on the court, and obviously, that includes Stephen Curry.
Then again, while people may want to think of that as a shot at Curry or whatnot, this isn’t the first time that Lillard has had something to say about this.
When asked about the point guard GOAT debate between Steph and Magic, Lillard pretty much stated that he thinks of Curry as a shooting guard, not a point guard.
Likewise, he has also referred to Draymond Green as the actual point guard of the Warriors, so maybe that’s where he’s coming from.
Whatever the case, Lillard has every right to feel like the best player on the court every time he plays, and it’s not like he’s that far off, being a top-15 player in this league.
Still, it’ll be nice to see if Steph takes offense at those comments and decides to make a statement the next time they play.
