After another disappointing end to an NBA season for the Portland Trail Blazers, superstar guard Damian Lillard has had to watch the NBA playoff from home while contemplating his future in the league.
The one superstar player that has gotten everyone’s attention throughout the postseason thus far has been two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic of the NBA-Finals-bound Denver Nuggets.
After dominating the competition during the NBA regular season with relative ease, the Nuggets are four wins away from winning the franchise’s first Larry O’Brien Trophy in the team’s first appearance in the NBA Finals.
Lillard has been quite impressed with Jokic during this playoff run and seems convinced that the Nuggets superstar is now the best player in the league moving forward via NBA on ESPN.

With his solid play throughout the first three rounds of the playoffs, Jokic has convinced many of his peers that he isn’t just a great regular-season player anymore and is now cementing his legacy as one of the all-time greats.
Jokic’s unique skill set has the Nuggets firing on all cylinders and looking virtually unbeatable after Denver swept the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals.
Now that the Nuggets have advanced to the NBA Finals, Jokic and company await their opponent, with the Boston Celtics forcing the Miami Heat to a Game 7 in the Eastern Conference Finals, which will be played Monday night at TD Garden.
Regardless of their opponent in the Finals, the Nuggets are expected to be the favorites to win it all, and few argue that it may be only a matter of time before Jokic lifts the trophy in the coming weeks.
