Damian Lillard has constantly been in the headlines this summer following his trade request from the Portland Trail Blazers.
Lillard made it clear that he wants to be traded to the Miami Heat, and as a result, fans have been waiting for the official announcement of the trade.
So far, things have come to a standstill between the two sides.
But one thing that can give the Heat fanbase a glimmer of hope around Lillard’s arrival in Miami is his friendship with Bam Adebayo.
Lillard shared his honest thoughts on his relationship with Adebayo, via Brady Hawk on Twitter.

While Lillard didn’t name a name, he made a reference to one of his Instagram stories where Adebayo reposted the cover of one of Dame’s albums.
Moreover, Lillard refrained from naming any names because he didn’t want to stir up the rumors of his potential trade to the Heat.
It’s a well-known fact that Lillard has a great relationship with Bam Adebayo.
There’s certainly a chance that Adebayo may have already tried to recruit Lillard.
However, if the Heat want to trade for Lillard, they may have to include Adebayo in the package.
After all, Lillard is coming off the heels of averaging 32.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 7.3 assists.
Lillard is obviously one of the best players in the league in his position, and any contending team would be lucky to have him on the roster.
But will the Heat go above and beyond to trade for him?
Or will they simply run it back another year with the same roster?
