The New York Jets continue to improve their roster at every turn.
It seemed like they had all the players in place to compete for a Super Bowl this year.
But, they could not help themselves from adding another proven veteran.
This time it was at running back where the Jets welcomed in former Minnesota Vikings star Dalvin Cook.
Cook had interest from a few different teams before signing with the Jets.
One of the main reasons he chose New York is because he wanted to play with Aaron Rodgers instead of against him.
According to the NFL on Twitter, Cook said, “I couldn’t be on the other side anymore,” when referring to playing against Rodgers.

These two have been NFC North rivals for so long that seeing them team up in the AFC is thrilling.
Cook is entering his age-28 season and is coming off four straight 1,000+ yard rushing seasons.
Most running backs seem to hit a wall in their late-20s, but Cook still seems like a solid starter.
He will team up in the backfield with second-year player Breece Hall.
While many expect Hall to be the more explosive player, he is coming off a torn ACL that he suffered last season.
The Jets might decide to rely on Cook early in the year until Hall can get back to full strength.
Either way, this backup should be one of the best in the NFL.
Having a strong one-two punch is important and now the Jets have that in Cook and Hall.
