For weeks, people have debated which NFL team could benefit the most from signing Dalvin Cook.
The former Minnesota Vikings star has patiently waited to sort out his next destination, and he’s had no shortage of teams interested in his services.
And with some rumors about him potentially joining the New England Patriots, some didn’t know how to react to his latest cryptic post on Twitter.
The former Pro Bowler took to Twitter to post a smiley face emoji with sunglasses, and that was it.

And while that may not mean anything — or maybe he’s just messing with us — it obviously led to some speculation and bizarre comments on social media.
Over the past couple of weeks, Cook has been strongly linked to the Miami Dolphins, and then, it seemed like it was just a matter of time before he joined Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets.
The Patriots could use an offensive catalyst, and it’s not a secret that they’re not exactly high on Mac Jones, so they could definitely benefit from signing a guy like Cook, even with his history of injuries.
But the market for running backs has been pretty much brutal this season, and that’s perhaps the main reason why a player of Cook’s caliber has yet to sign with any team.
