Dalvin Cook is the latest addition to the New York Jets, in what has been a whirlwind of an offseason.
He’s expected to be a complementary back to Breece Hall, who is recovering from injury.
While there are a lot of unknowns about Cook’s potential impact on this roster, there is one certainty.
According to Adam Schefter’s recent report, Cook will be wearing the number 33, answering that question for fans.
New Jets’ RB Dalvin Cook will wear No. 33.

Cook wore 33 during his first several seasons with the Minnesota Vikings.
Due to the league’s newest rule changes, however, Cook switched his number to 4 in 2022.
Being that 4 was already occupied by cornerback D.J. Reed on the Jets, Cook has officially settled on his old number.
Jets fans can now buy jerseys with confidence, knowing Cook has decided on 33.
With that behind him, Cook can now fully begin training with his new team with less than a month to go until the regular season.
Can he make the kind of impact the Jets are expecting?
His contract can be worth up to $8.6 million, a large number considering the current landscape of running backs.
As a whole, the position has been devalued, causing players like Cook to take considerable pay cuts.
For the Jets, if he has another 1,000-yard season, his contract could look like a steal.
This team has a lot of pressure tied to it, given the amount of moves they have made.
Can they break through in the AFC, knowing the elite talent sitting at the top of the ranks?
