The Dallas Cowboys are on cloud nine after their impressive season-opening victory over the New York Giants.
But while their morale is sky-high, games are still won and lost on the football field.
The critical question is if that football field has natural grass or synthetic turf on it.
The debate between grass and turf gained steam after New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury.
Thus, Dak Prescott gave his take on this long-standing concern.
The two-time Pro Bowler shared with ESPN’s Ed Werder:
“Yeah, I’m 100% grass guy. I mean, and I’m probably – because, like you said – my injury plays a huge part in that. And, secondly, I’m not fast, so turf doesn’t make me fast one way or another.”
As a QB who broke his ankle on turf, I asked Dak Prescott about grass vs turf.

Prescott suffered a season-ending ankle dislocation and fracture during the 2020 NFL season.
That unfortunate development halted what could have been an MVP-like season for the former Mississippi State standout.
Prescott and Rodgers both suffered season-ending injuries on artificial turf.
The Cowboys’ home turf, AT&T Stadium, has used a Hellas Matrix Turf with Helix Soft Top artificial turf.
Prescott’s health will be crucial for the Cowboys on their journey for a Super Bowl return as they have one of the more talented rosters in the National Football League.
