The Dallas Cowboys were one of the most impressive teams in Week 1 as they shutout the New York Giants 40-0 on Sunday Night Football, sending a message to the NFL that they should be taken seriously this season,
Dallas’ defense was the star of the night as they were able to get pressure on Daniel Jones and force turnovers that gave them an early lead.
The Cowboys led wire-to-wire and were in complete control of the game in the first quarter.
Dak Prescott and the offense barely had to do much on the evening as they moved the ball patiently and let the defense keep New York from ever even sniffing a touchdown.
Although the defense came through for him, there is still a lot of pressure on Prescott to deliver a championship to an organization that has been mired in mediocrity for years.
Some have questioned whether or not Prescott is the answer at quarterback for the Cowboys, though the franchise surely believes in him as he currently leads the league in a unique stat via NFL on FOX Podcast.

It’s hard to believe, but Prescott is indeed the longest-tenured quarterback for a single team in the league.
The previous leader was Aaron Rodgers for his time with the Green Bay Packers, though that changed when he was traded to the New York Jets in the offseason.
Between the rise of the next generation of quarterbacks and the older veterans retiring, it leaves Prescott in the lead which must feel good for the signal caller.
